About

Remy is a contemporary dance artist from Sydney. She trained in Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year (2019-2020) and understudied with the main company for their works ‘[ab] intra’ and ‘Impermanence’.


Remy has recently performed in ’Aida’ and ‘Adriana Lecouvreur’ by Opera Australia, ‘Rhapsody’ by Omer Backley-Astrachan for the New Annual Festival, ‘Slip Stream’ by Anton Projects, and ‘Deep Water’, which she created and performed in collaboration with Allie Graham and Sydney Art Quartet. She has also performed in Stephanie Lake’s ‘Colossus’, Omer Backley-Astrachan’s ‘Human Remains’ with Catapult Dance Company,’ and Eliza Cooper’s ‘Bat Lake’ at Riverside Theatres.


She is a 2023 recipient of the Activate Fellowship for emerging creators through Catapult Choreographic Hub, and is currently in creative development for a new work, ‘Love Arena’.


In 2022 Remy was awarded the prestigious Ian Potter Cultural Trust Grant to travel to Europe, where she learnt from Damien Jalet, Lotem Regev & Felix Landerer to study their individual movement languages. While overseas she also studied and performed repertoire from Crystal Pite, Akram Khan, Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.



She has also expanded her physical and artist ranges through secondments with DanceNorth, Prue Lang, Cass Mortimer- Eipper and Charmene Yap.
